SilentFax is designed to run as a Windows service on the host computer based on Windows XP Professional.
It is a multitasking program handling multiple fax channels and different tasks simultaneously.
There are also a number of programs and user interfaces to enhance the server's capability.
Incoming fax handling
Automatic routing of received faxes based on channel number, DID/DTMF, DNIS and CSID.
Delivery methods: By email, Over-the-Network, Drop-in folder.
Faxes can be delivered and archived independently in PDF or TIFF formats.
Email delivery supports all SMTP servers including MS Exchange and Lotus Domino with authentication.
HTML emails can include a preview of the first page inside the email body.
Outgoing fax handling
Receiving outgoing fax requests from clients, AIX application interface and Email2Fax gateway (POP3).
Creating server-side coverpages.
Managing outgoing fax queue and transmitting outgoing faxes.
Handling multiple attempts for unsuccessful transmissions.
Preparing and sending a transmission report for completed faxes.
Managing and handling fax distribution tasks and related reports.
Servicing clients
Accepting, verifying and maintaining login requests from clients.
